Deema M. Akel has more than 25 years of diverse experience in the financial industry. Her banking experience is mostly in Risk Management, where she contributed to establishing this function and getting it up to speed in several Jordanian banks amongst which Arab Bank, Housing Bank and most recently Bank AL Etihad where she is holding the position of Deputy General Manager.  Deema is also a board member in SAWA Islamic Bank.

H.E Mrs. Nadia Al Saeed has been the CEO of Bank al Etihad since 2007. Throughout her career Mrs. Al Saeed held different key roles in private and public sectors; most notably, she served as Minister of Communication and Information Technology ICT, and before that Advisor to Minister of ICT. Mrs. Al Saeed has an MBA from the American University in Cairo and a Bachelor Degree i Mrs. Al Saeed is also a member of the board in various organizations and associations related to banking and Business.

Born in Izmir, Turkey in 1966, Ayhan Albeyoglu graduated from ODTU (Middle East Technical University), Faculty of Administrative Sciences in 1989. His banking career started as an auditor and continued as Branch Manager and Regional Manager. He joined TEB A.S. in 2005 and was appointed area manager for the Marmara Region of Turkey. He went on to become the regional director of the Istanbul Anadolu Region in 2011. In December 2013 he was appointed as Board member and Managing Director of TEB Sh. A. He moved from TEB Sh. A.  to TEB  A.Ş. as the Group Director for SME Banking / Strategic Planning and Marketing in April, 2017.

Kaylene Alvarez is a specialist in financial inclusion and impact investing with over twenty years of experience in almost thirty emerging markets. At IFC, she leads the Global advisory practice for Banking on Women, focusing on building segmentation strategies and business cases for women’s markets. Her specialties include data & analytics, risk management, and innovations to reach underserved sectors. Previously, Kaylene helped to build and lead a global business development and M&A team for a large, NYC based diversified financial services company. Immediately prior to IFC, she founded two businesses supporting equitable access to finance for women: a consulting business to support MFIs and SME focused banks in frontier markets; and, a lending platform for financing MSMEs in ethical textiles and fashion.  Kaylene has published on the topics of Sharia investments in MFIs and risk management for mobile banking. She is based in Mumbai, India.

Head of Enterprise, Business Banking, NatWest

Julie is responsible for leading the ongoing delivery of new and better ways to provide enterprise support across the Bank’s business banking customer base, to help customers achieve their ambitions.   Julie supports the Women in Business Accreditation Programme, endorsed by Chartered Banker and certified by everywoman, now held by over 400 Women in Business Specialist Relationship Managers.

She acts as an Enterprise ambassador, enhancing the profile of NatWest as the “Go To” Bank for diverse business segments through high visibility across external influencing forums, the media and Government. Julie also Chairs the Enterprise Board, acts as the NatWest representative at the British Bankers Association on the enterprise agenda, and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Bankers.

Julie has been with NatWest for over 30 years and has a strong background in Business and Commercial roles, with extensive people leadership skills and a track record of building strong and effective teams. She is passionate about helping people fulfil their potential, and acts as mentor to a number of people to support their development and help them achieve their dreams and goals.
